With all the heavy rain we've had in the UK over the last few months the plants in garden are growing well and most of the shrubs and hedges have put on that extra spurt of growth as the weather warms-up for the summer. Although electric hedge trimmers are ideal for small bushes and short runs of hedge, longer and taller hedges really need a good petrol driven trimmer to cope with the additional workload.
The RHT2660 petrol hedge trimmer is ideal for trimming most domestic garden hedges and shrubs. The trimmer is surprisingly powerful for its light-weight (5.3kg) and compact size. The handy 60 cm (2 ft) dual-sided blade is capable of cutting through branches of up to 28mm in thickness, so it can easily cope with the toughest trimming tasks in the garden.
As with all petrol driven tools, it can be used anywhere in the garden; as there are no trailing wires to become tangled-up or to reduce the reach. The adjustable rear handle allows the trimmer to be gripped in various positions to suit the cutting angle and the double-sided blade allows you to cut in either direction. An integrated front blade guard also helps to deflect away cuttings and debris whilst working.
The powerful 26cc engine is fitted with an Start Easy™ carburettor for quick and confident starting and the large 0.3 litre tank ensures a useable running time between refills. A canister of 2-stroke oil is also supplied with the RHT2660DA for mixing with the fuel prior to filling-up.
